Environment Policy
We are committed to environmental protection through three directions:

Patech is committed to improve our process and increase energy efficiency. We successfully reduced 42% CO2 emission generated from our manufacturing process since 2012.
Production
We continuously improve our production in terms of energy saving, water efficiency, waste reduction and emission reduction.

Innovation
We focus on developing natural and biodegradable products such as environmentally friendly lubricants (EALs) and also commit to develop the novel refrigeration oils for the low GWP refrigerant to reduce the impact of global warming.
In the meantime, we concentrate on providing higher performance product, which can improve the service life and energy efficiency of customers’ equipment.

NDPE Policy
No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation (NDPE) Policy

Material Sourcing and Sustainability Context
Palm oil and its derivatives are targeted as the most important sources of raw materials for lubricants and personal care products. However, in order to get more economic benefit, large tracts of forest and natural ecosystems have historically been cut down and converted to plant palm trees. Patech, as a member of the global village, has the responsibility to protect the forest and conserve biodiversity. Therefore, we established this Sustainable Palm Oil and NDPE Policy to govern our sourcing practices and ensure full alignment with global sustainability frameworks.
No Deforestation and No Conversion (DCF)
Patech and its suppliers shall not engage in any deforestation of natural forests or conversion of natural ecosystems (including wetlands, grasslands, and peatlands) for agricultural production after December 31, 2020, in full alignment with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and the Accountability Framework initiative (AFi). We prohibit the clearance, degradation, or replacement of High Conservation Value (HCV) and High Carbon Stock (HCS) areas. All HCV/HCS areas within managed scopes must be identified, maintained, and enhanced according to the HCV-HCSA Assessment Manual.
No Peat and Ecosystem Restoration
No new planting or infrastructure development is permitted on peatlands of any depth. Existing peatland plantations shall be managed according to recognized Best Management Practices (BMP) to minimize subsidence, fire risk, and greenhouse gas emissions, as well as peat restoration where applicable. Furthermore, we actively encourage our suppliers to engage in forest and ecological restoration initiatives within and beyond their concession areas to rebuild degraded habitats and enhance biodiversity.
No Exploitation
We strictly require our suppliers to ensure that there are no violations of human rights across their operations. We prohibit child labor, forced labor, bonded labor, modern slavery, human trafficking, discrimination, harassment, and unsafe working conditions. Workers shall have freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining in accordance with applicable laws and International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions. We enforce a "No Recruitment Fees" policy to ensure that no worker pays for their employment, and we prohibit the withholding of workers' identity documents or passports. Suppliers must respect and protect the rights of indigenous peoples and local communities, fully adhering to the principles of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) across all land-use activities.
Traceability, Certification, and EUDR Compliance
To ensure that all raw materials we source comply with our NDPE commitments, we are committed to achieving and maintaining a 100% Deforestation- and Conversion-Free (DCF) palm-derived raw material supply chain by 2028. To achieve this, we preferentially source RSPO-certified physical materials (Identity Preserved, Segregated, or Mass Balance). Where non-certified materials are sourced, suppliers must provide full traceability to the plantation (TTP) and demonstrate compliance with NDPE, HCSA, AFi, and applicable legal requirements. Furthermore, suppliers shall provide geolocation information, traceability documentation, and due diligence information required to demonstrate compliance with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Grievance Mechanism and Non-Retaliation
If a grievance against a supplier is verified, we will take appropriate actions, which may include suspending procurement, initiating formal investigations, and implementing corrective action plans. To report violations of this policy, please email us at hr@patechfc.com.tw. We welcome and accept anonymous reports, and we guarantee a strict non-retaliation policy to ensure the safety and confidentiality of whistleblowers. Verified grievances, progress of corrective actions, and final outcomes may be disclosed through appropriate public reporting channels to promote transparency.
Transparency and Continuous Improvement
Patech is committed to continuous improvement in supply chain sustainability through supplier engagement, traceability enhancement, independent verification, and public reporting of progress toward our NDPE and DCF commitments. We prioritize partnerships with suppliers who demonstrate a clear commitment to landscape-level conservation and proactive environmental restoration.
